2025 NFL Mock Draft 2.0 @JamFed
The Final Mock Draft of 2025,
4/23/2025 by James Fedewa
The 2025 NFL Draft promises to be an exciting and unpredictable event. I anticipate seeing three to five trades unfold for day one, adding to the drama and intrigue of draft day. I would hope to hear your thoughts on this mock draft—feel free to share your opinions and join the conversation. After all, discussing the draft is always fascinating, with everyone bringing their own unique perspective.
| Draft Number & Team | Players | Notes & Quotes: |
| 1 Tennessee Titans | Cameron Ward QB Miami (FL) | Yes, the normal and standard pick this season. Cam Ward replaces young Will Levis as the Titans QB. Ward is a pretty good QB prospect, yet this might be the worst QB draft class ever. Maybe the Titans can trade Levis to the Rams or Dallas and try get something in return (maybe a 5th or 6th rounder in compensation?) |
| 2 Cleveland Browns | Travis Hunter CB Colorado | Shedeur Sanders could be the choice here (and should be), but I think Cleveland fans do not mind Joe Flacco (as a stop gap for a second round QB). My bet is on Jaxon Dart being available in round two. I’m not a HUGE T.Hunter guy, but I get his talent. He’s special, and if he is terrible at one position, then I’m sure he’ll recover with the other… |
| 3 New York Giants | Abdul Carter EDGE Penn State | NYG really needs a QB as well, but their current coach and GM are currently “out of time” (and on the hot-seat), so there will be no developing a QB with this pick. Another edge player for New York, which is not a terrible thing. Overall, Carter is a tantalizing prospect. |
| 4 New England Patriots | Will Campbell OT LSU | Sure, the OL prospects are not elite this draft season, but Campbell is an upgrade (no matter what). His wingspand is small, but this kid can move. I’d try to trade-down here if I was NE, but stay within the top 11 (and try to target another pick and JBJ. |
| 5 Jacksonville Jaguars | Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona | With this draft, DT is pretty deep with tons of quality talent. Do the Jags need the top DT? Probably not, when they can get a good one in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. T-Mac is too good to pass up, he’s my WR#1. |
| 6 Las Vegas Raiders | Armand Membou OT Missouri | The Raiders are not ready for an RB like Jeanty (yet). They really need a couple years to build in the trenches. Start with some BEEF on the OL and DL, then they could get a really good RB and WR later. They have holes everywhere on their roster. |
| 7 New York Jets | Mason Graham DT Michigan | M.Graham falls just a bit, but he can really create problems for the Jets opponents. They can get their RT and TE with their next two picks. Warren might be a quality TE here, but he’s a one year wonder, so lets get a for sure thing in Mason. |
| 8 Carolina Panthers | Mykel Williams EDGE Georgia | Carolina will draft the best Defensive Lineman here (DT or DE). Mykel has all the tools to be a special player. Walker might be a great pick here too, Williams has a sure fire position (Walker is too much of a tweener) |
| 9 New Orleans Saints | Jalon Walker LB Georgia | Walker can go as high as 4, or 8, but the Saints need some twitch and youth on the defensive front seven. Nope Shedeur Sanders is not their solution either. I think they’d rather go vet QB than rookie QB. Carr or Rattler for one more season. |
| 10 Chicago Bears | Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State | Not sure about the fascination of Jeanty, but he finally finds a new home in Chicago. Ashton could be special, but 5’-8” is not exactly an every-down type RB of size. |
| 11 San Francisco 49ers | Kelvin Banks Jr. OT Texas | Banks is probably one of the safest picks here, Finding experienced and quality left tackles are very hard to find. I can see him going #4 to New England. |
| 12 Dallas Cowboys | Walter Nolen DT Ole Miss | Yes, Dallas needs a WR, but they don’t need a first round WR. This draft will have plenty of quality WR’s available in the next two rounds. Nolan is massive and a huge upgrade for the Dallas D-Line. |
| 13 Miami Dolphins | Will Johnson CB Michigan | Will Johnson is a fantastic DB and I think he’d be a great fit with Jalen Ramsey. I just hope the Dolphins keep their stars on the team, and not make any nasty or harsh trades (that kill their dead cap space). |
| 14 Indianapolis Colts | Tyler Warren TE Penn State | This is a stock mock pick for the Colts. Everyone has been predicting this for months. Yet, Danial Jones will probably forget about him. Maybe the Colts should draft some better linebackers instead. Warren can block, run and catch. He’ll make both the passing game and running game better. |
| 15 Atlanta Falcons | Shemar Stewart EDGE Texas A&M | A team that needs a pass rusher the MOST gets the least productive EDGE guy out there. (BUT HE MIGHT BE TOO GOOD TO PASS UP). Mike Green just seems a lot smaller than Stewart, and Stewart can play multiple positions on the D-Line. |
| 16 Arizona Cardinals | Jahdae Barron CB Texas | DT could be a good choice here, but many folks have Barron as DB#1 in this daft. BPA here, too good to pass up… |
| 17 Cincinnati Bengals | Mike Green EDGE Marshall | A pass rush specialist, just in case the Bengals lose Hendrickson (plus DE Sam Hubbard retired) – eeek, they need some DL help. |
| 18 Seattle Seahawks | Grey Zabel OT North Dakota State | I can see the Seahawks target Loveland here, but they might be able to get a good TE with one of their two 2nd round picks. Zabel’s help would make this zone scheme transition a bit easier for the rest of the O-Line. We might see a few trades this weekend with Seattle. K. Walker could be on the trading block (going to Denver or Las Vegas) – not a scheme fit, I guess… |
| 19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Jihaad Campbell LB Alabama | Campbell is one of my favorites in this drat, but off ball linebackers and ones with shoulder issues can make him fall a bit. Perfect fit in Tampa. |
| 20 Denver Broncos | Matthew Golden WR Texas | SPEED SPEED SPEED!! Now Denver has several FAST WR’s for Bo Nix (but I’m sceptical of Golden’s 4.29 forty – seems like a miss-time or time error) |
| 21 Pittsburgh Steelers | Shedeur Sanders B Colorado | PItt needs a QB, any QB. Sanders could be a fantastic pickup, only if the head coach is bullet proof. I can see Sanders get several folks fired, but the Steelers staff is pretty much indestructible (not matter what their playoff record might be). |
| 22 Los Angeles Chargers | Colston Loveland TE Michigan | Will Loveland last this long? Doubt it, but if he does, the Chargers get a really good weapon for Herbert. Loveland can play multiple positions for Harbaugh (including X), plus Jimmy Harbaugh recruited him (so he knows him well). If the Charges do not get a TE, then they will draft DT or DE. Maybe Harmon or M/Green. Plus, I sorta of love M/Starks, Barron and S.Stewart here too. The Chargers will probably go BPD which means they can go any direction (but I doubt they draft a WR with a first round pick. |
| 23 Green Bay Packers | Derrick Harmon DT Oregon | The Packers always draft within the trenches. Love Harmon’s size and combination of skill sets. He’s a fantastic defensive prospect. |
| 24 Minnesota Vikings | Omarion Hampton RB North Carolina | He’s an upgrade to Aaron Jones, and a great addition for a young QB. |
| 25 Houston Texans | Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio State | The Texans have a need at OL, but they have spot fixed that group with some older vets. Egbuka can help out this team now, more than a rookie LT could. |
| 26 Los Angeles Rams | Malaki Starks S Georgia | Starks in another one of my draft crushes. He can play both safety positions, plus nickel (cover cover cover). He had 77 tackles last season, which was fantastic. The Rams need more help with their ILB’s but Starks is BPA. |
| 27 Baltimore Ravens | Maxwell Hairston CB Kentucky | Ravens go CB, and get a FAST one too. |
| 28 Detroit Lions | Donovan Ezeiruaku EDGE Boston College | Ravens could easily nab Ezeiruaku here, but the Lions get a good pass rusher with long arms. He’ll compliment Hutch very well… |
| 29 Washington Commanders | James Pearce Jr. EDGE Tennessee | Commanders need edge in a bad way. JPJ is a great talent, maybe their HC can get the best out of him… |
| 30 Buffalo Bills | Kenneth Grant DT Michigan | I love Grant, as early as #15, but zero tech DT’s tent to slide a bit these days. He’s huge (and pretty dang quick). |
| 31 Kansas City Chiefs | Josh Simmons OT Ohio State | Simmons is a fantastic LT, but injuries had him fall. He’ll do well in KC. |
| 32 Philadelphia Eagles | Tyler Booker OG Alabama | Booker looks like a big G in Philly. The thick get thicker… |
